Cream together the butter and sugars
Mix in egg and vanilla extract
Add in dry ingredients and mix until combined
Mix in chocolate chips
Dye some of the dough pink/red for the hearts
Using the dyed pink/red dough, either use a cookie cutter to cut out hearts or shape the hearts by hand. Toss these into the freezer for a few minutes to firm them up
Wrap the hearts with plain undyed cookie dough
Chill cookies in the fridge for 30 minutes
Bake at 350F/177C for 10-12 minutes
